A Montgomery, Alabama maternity ward is the star of a new Lifetime TV special.
“The Baby Factory: Alabama,” which premiered on July 15 and is now available on-demand, spotlights the maternity ward at Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery, where about 300 babies are delivered each month. That makes this unit one of the busiest maternity wards in the country.
The special gives a candid look into four captivating birth stories including that of first-time mother Danielle whose health condition requires an emergency C-Section and Willariea whose twin daughters are arriving a few weeks early as their father Adonis races to the hospital to witness their birth.
In “The Baby Factory: Alabama,” doctors and nurses also reveal the challenges and unique circumstances they face as they deliver dozens of babies each day.
