If you’ve never seen “Love and Marriage: Huntsville,” you’re missing out. A big hit on the Oprah Winfrey Network, the show follows the lives of three couples and real estate developers in Huntsville, Alabama.
The stars and producers of the show, Martell and Melody Holt, are proud parents to three children: 7-year-olds Mariah and Martell and 3-year-old Maliah. And they recently celebrated their fourth baby with a royalty-themed baby shower.
More than 100 friends and family members attended the elegant brunch, which was held at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. The Holt family arrived by horse and carriage, and their guests cheered and applauded as they pulled up to the majestic doors of the Botanical Garden.
“The smiles on everyone’s faces sparked a beautiful smile inside of us as well,” Melody recalls. “The MnMKids [as the couple affectionately call their children] were tickled pink to be arriving in such a grand style.”
Melody was quick to credit the team of planners, caterers, and hostess with making the shower a magical affair. “The Royal Baby Shower was more than I could have imagined,” she says. “There was a heart-piercing amount of love and support in the entire room.”
Highlights of the shower included the delicious cake and gorgeous custom-made centerpieces featuring roses and baby’s breath.
This fourth baby was a wonderful surprise for the Holt family, and Melody calls her “a blessing in the midst of our storm.” And the MnMKids are just as excited as Melody and Martell.
“This pregnancy has been nothing short of amazing,” she says. “It is so wonderful to see the three siblings readily ask to kiss my tummy, say goodbye to the baby when leaving for school, and even rub her to calm her down if she’s moving too much for Mommy.”
The Holt family loves their adventures, whether hiking, biking, or enjoying a family vacation. The Royal Shower was a true celebration for all of them.
Pulling off a major event can be stressful, Melody says, but the family was delighted with the results. “Despite last-minute planning, everything came together perfectly for us,” she says, “Team Holt.”
