Madison Hospital is the first hospital in North Alabama and just the fourth in the state to earn the Baby-Friendly USA certification through the World Health Organization and United Nations Children’s Fund.

Madison Hospital has also earned the Alabama Breastfeeding Committee’s Better Bama Babies Award and the IBCLC Care Award from the International Board of Lactation Consultants. Our staff is here for you every step of the way with classes, virtual tours, and many specialized maternity services.

Amenities include large birthing suites, room service for you and your guests, a celebration dinner a day or two after delivery, and a complimentary safe sleep garment for you to take home.

Other services include support groups for new moms, including breastfeeding and postpartum, a dedicated team of nurses to help mom and baby with skin-to-skin bonding and breastfeeding, and a couple of International Board Certified Lactation Consultants to provide breastfeeding help and guidance.
