explore house plants with the Garden’s very own Greenhouse Propagator and learn
how to properly care for all the house plants your home can fit!
In this
class, you will learn about proper watering practices, how to care for your
houseplants as they grow and mature, and more advanced care techniques such as
root pruning and pest treatment. You will leave the class with the confidence
and knowledge you need so that your houseplants will not just survive, but
thrive!
Plus, you will have the opportunity
to purchase new plants to take home with you. There will be a selection of houseplants
available to purchase. Payment for plants will be accepted via exact cash,
check, or credit card.

Huntsville Botanical Garden. All registrants will be contacted with the exact

About the instructor:
Mason Schoon is the Greenhouse
Propagator at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. He graduated from the
University of Alabama in Huntsville with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a
concentration in Ecology. After moving to the Huntsville area in 2012, he
became fascinated with the diverse local flora and now grows a wide variety of
the Garden’s plant material via germination and various propagation
methods.
