Babypalooza is a fast-paced, high-tech company that produces the Babypalooza Baby & Maternity Expo and The Black Maternal Health Expo in six cities as well as two virtual baby expos online. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Event Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in the success of our events.

For 2024, we are thrilled to announce our lineup of events including the Babypalooza Baby & Maternity Expo and The Black Maternal Health Expo, hosted across six cities and supplemented by two virtual baby expos.

Job Summary:

As an Event Project Manager at Babypalooza, you will be the driving force behind our renowned expos. This role demands a blend of creativity and meticulous planning skills. You will be responsible for every detail, from venue scouting to writing thank-you notes post-event. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and is adept at using a plethora of software tools for project management, planning, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute all facets of event production, ensuring seamless experiences across in-person and virtual platforms.

Scout and secure optimal event locations, negotiate rates, and coordinate logistics including setup and catering requirements.

Facilitate vendor management, including recruitment, application processing, and providing support throughout the events.

Oversee the Babypalooza Sample Box and Swag Bag programs, from product acquisition to order fulfillment.

Conduct the Baby Registry 101 Program, educating parents about products.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in event planning and project management, with a strong preference for expertise in baby and maternity expos.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple events concurrently.

Proficient in using various software tools for project management, AI applications, and other relevant technologies.

High energy, extroverted personality with an affinity for public interaction and brand promotion.

Hands-on approach to all tasks, irrespective of scale or nature, reflecting our no-diva, team-oriented work ethic.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain productive relationships with vendors, volunteers, and attendees.

Willingness to travel to various event locations and handle physical aspects of event setup and breakdown.

[Compensation: Part-time / Seasonal – 20 hours a week at $20 per hour plus Flat Fee for Event Weekends]

Note: Weekend work and travel on the expo dates below is mandatory. We travel by car leaving Friday morning and returning Saturday night for most events except for Arizona we return on Sunday by air.
