Children up to 12 can participate in four hunts and collect ten eggs each, which can be turned in for a plush bunny toy. This event is free for zoo members and included in admission for non-members. Additionally, there is an adult Easter Egg Hunt from 11:15 am to 12:00 pm. Participants can find one egg on the Trails of Africa playground and redeem it for an exclusive prize. The prizes include certificates provided by local businesses, special Zoo tours, and more, all valued at $50 or greater. The adult Easter Egg Hunt ticket price does not include Zoo admission for the day.

This year’s egg hunt will be on Terrace Drive in the Multi-use Field by the Discover Shelby Pavilion. There will be a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny from 9 to 12 PM and 1 to 3 PM. The Marina will also be open for renting kayaks, canoes, and SUPs, providing the perfect opportunity to explore the park’s stunning waterways. The event will also feature educational opportunities with Oak Mountain Interpretive Center education ambassadors, who will teach about all the wildlife that calls the park home. For a special treat, Rusted Roof Barn is bringing some of their Rescue Horses to the festival for children ages 3 to 12 to enjoy rides for $5 from 9:45 AM to 2 PM. Parking is free, and children age under three are free of admission.
