Although your baby is tiny, they require a lot. When it comes to packing your diaper bag, it can be hard to know what to bring with you and how to keep it all organized. We have 9 diaper bag organization hacks that will help you reduce the clutter and keep your baby’s stuff easy to access.

Diaper Bag Organization Hacks

1. This one’s simple and will make your life so much easier. Keep a luggage tag attached to your diaper bag that holds a diaper bag checklist. Anytime you need to pack your bag, you won’t have to think about what you need because you’ll have a list right in front of you. Enjoy quick and easy packing!

2. Use empty condiment holders or Ziploc bags to store essential items like pacifiers. This will keep you from having to dig around in your bag to find one when your baby needs it and will keep them from getting dirty.

3. Use an old or cheap wallet as an on-the-go activity kit. You can store crayons, paper, and stickers in it so your child can color while you’re out and about. This will free up a lot of space in your bag, since you won’t have to pack a bunch of loose toys to keep your baby entertained.

4. Don’t throw away those unused breastmilk bags! Repurpose them to save space in your bag by holding snacks or storing baby spoons to keep them clean. You could also use Ziploc bags if you don’t have any breastmilk bags.

5. Keep a diaper changing kit with the essentials packed in a plastic bag. Everything from diapers, wipes, diaper cream, and a changing pad should be kept in here. This will make it easy to grab when disaster strikes, so you won’t have to waste time digging everything out of your bag. It will also be easy to pass off if someone else is taking on diaper duty.

6. Put a frozen sponge in a plastic bag and place it in your diaper bag to keep your items cold. The sponge will soak up the ice as it melts, so you won’t have to worry about any leaks.

7. Use doggie waste bags to dispose of those stinky diapers! They can also be used to store wet or dirty clothes. Buy a dispenser meant to attach to a leash and connect it to your diaper bag for easy access.

8. Accidents happen. Always keep a full outfit for you and baby rolled together in a plastic bag in case of an emergency. Everything for baby from head to toe (onesie, pants, socks) should be packed away. Then, if an accident does happen, you can use the plastic bag to hold your soiled clothes.

9. Pack a formula dispenser to make it easier to feed your baby while you’re out and about. Most will hold enough formula for a couple of bottles. This will keep you from having to keep premade bottles cold. All you’ll have to pack is a bottle of water and mix as you need it.
