The Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat makes traveling simple for moms on the go. This car seat is lightweight only weighing less than 10 pounds, so lifting and securing it into your car is an easy feat.
Safety Features in the Chicco Car Seat
Its lightweight build does not limit safety capabilities; it is rated #1 for secure and innovative features. Installation is made simple with the Recline Sure leveling foot. Press the orange buttons on the side of the car seat to extend the spring-loaded leveling foot, then adjust the car seat to the desired ergonomic position fit for your vehicle.
To ensure that the car seat base is adequately aligned, check the Ride Right bubble level indicators. These indicators work just like any ordinary shelf leveler; if the bubble is between the two black lines indicated, the base is balanced! The Super Clinch latch is a strap that serves as a final reinforcement of car seat security. The straps pull out smoothly and restraints the base from shifting. Once the base is secured, push the car seat into the base until you hear a click.
Why the Chicco Car Seat is Great for Newborns
The car seat itself has a removable newborn positioner, 5-point harness, one-pull harness tightener, and one-hand release mechanism.

When your baby exceeds 11 pounds, you may remove the newborn positioner, so your growing child has a more comfortable fit in the KeyFit 30. The 5-point harness is the seat belt that locks your baby into the seat.
Two padded straps wrap around the infant’s shoulders and buckles once across their chest and twice between their legs. The one-pull harness tightener pulls out just like the super clinch latch to fasten your baby in place. Your baby will be stable in and snug in the comfort of their seat! Removing the seat is just as simple as installing it by using the one-hand release. The release is an orange push button located on the back of the car seat. Use one hand to press the button and unlock the seat from the base.
Grab the curved carry handle with your other hand, then set your baby down or attach the seat to a compatible Chicco Stroller!
