The Great Backyard Bird Count

The Birmingham Zoo will collaborate with the Birmingham Audubon Society to host this event. From 10 to 2 PM, the zoo’s animal care and education staff will offer fun and educational activities focusing on backyard birds and their unique characteristics. Guests can enjoy these activities in the Alabama Wilds section of the zoo, which is also free of charge. Kids Mardi Gras Parade

Participants are encouraged to bring beads, candy, or moon pies to throw and contribute to the event’s festive atmosphere. In the case of rain, the parade will be rescheduled to Thursday the 23rd.
