For those looking for an active experience, there’s an INDY 5K race, while the Racing for Children’s Dinner offers a chance to dine with the drivers and other racing enthusiasts. One of the event’s unique features is the Kamtek Garage, which provides exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the drivers competing in the Indy 500.

Celebrate Hoover Day

Hope for Autumn Foundation Crawfish Boil

The Hope for Autumn Foundation Crawfish Boil is a highly anticipated event in the community, offering a day of delicious food and fun for the whole family. Louisiana native John Hein will prepare all-you-can-eat crawfish, while hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for the kids. Attendees can enjoy bounce houses, face painting, a DJ, and balloon artists, with soda and water provided. Adult beverages can be brought from home. The event will also feature live music by The Divines and Pioneer Chicken Stand. The best part is that proceeds from the event will assist families battling childhood cancer in Alabama and fund childhood cancer research at Children’s of Alabama.

Heights Hangout

The Heights Hangout event is a vibrant and lively community gathering hosted by the Cahaba Heights Merchants Association. Attendees can enjoy live music from Big City Rhythm and Telluride while taking advantage of the many activities offered, including a Kids Zone, and pop-up shops. Tickets are available for $10 at the gate, and all proceeds go towards the ongoing Beautification of Cahaba Heights.
