It can be stressful searching the Internet hoping to find anything that will be fun for your baby or toddler. In most cases, mommy and me classes are a perfect solution. They allow you to go out and socialize with other parents while your little one gets to have some fun designed just for them.

Mommy and Me Classes Round-Up
Kindermusik uses the power of music to enhance your child’s development. Through storytimes, instrument play, music, and more, your baby will be able to work on their communication, emotional development, sensory awareness, fine motor skills, musical ability, and cognition.
There are several different locations around Birmingham that offer Kindermusik classes. The classes range from different ages, times, and price points. You can find your class and get signed up today by clicking here.
Fiddlesticks Music offers two different classes for parents and children. The Babies Class is for babies under 8 months and helps you identify and encourage musical responses in your baby. The Mixed-Age Class is for anyone up to the age of 4 and helps with your child’s development. Both of these classes are 45-minutes long once a week during a 10 week period. Munchkin Music’s Mommy and Me Class is for children 2 and under. It’s a great way for parents to build a bond with their little one through music. Through singing songs and dancing, your baby will develop their vocabulary and language skills while working on their visual and auditory-motor skills. The class is from 9:15 – 9:45 AM, occurs at a different location each day of the week, and costs $60 a month.
Introduce your child to the fun of rhythm and movement at an early age! Mommy and Me Ballet Classes occur in 8-week sessions and are for ages 18 – 36 months. Sessions are $130 and require you to enroll.
Mommy and Me Time Fitness offers different exercises designed just for moms and moms-to-be. Any fitness levels are welcome, so whether you’re a beginner or advanced, feel free to join. The Birmingham Zoo offers a couple of different classes designed with little ones in mind.
Storytime Safari is for elementary-aged children and occurs every Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Storytime is held at Gigi’s Porch behind the Barn in Alabama Wilds. It is a walk-up event and doesn’t require any registration.
Zoo Tots is for children 2 – 4 years old. It occurs every other Tuesday at 9:30 AM and takes place in different areas around the Zoo. Children will participate in different activities each week from meeting Zoo animals, Zoo yoga, DIY activities, and more! This class does require you to register. You can do so here.
Villager Yoga offers a variety of different yoga classes for you and your little one. There’s family yoga which incorporates participation from the entire family, Parent & Baby Yoga for new moms to strengthen their body and socialize, and Toddler Yoga Playtime which allows you and your child to engage in creative ways.
